In spite of my comment just up the page about my 1993 material being short and unfocused - this Maebashi trip was in the old style - like the walkabout trips I took in 1991.  Come to think of it - another reason I was taking less in Tokyo was that I started to feel like "I've taken video of this train ride so many times already... what's the point in taking more?" - which was reinforced by not wanting to unnecessarily wear the machines down.

This one is sort of historic I suppose - showing the 1993 MacWorld Exhibition.  I notice it seems to always be referred to as the "MacWorld Expo" these days, but the sign at the venue at the time said "MacWorld Exhibition" spelling the complete word out.  Computers are just an ordinary part of life now, but they were still something fairly novel in 1993:

This next batch of 1990 videos is similar to the 1993 in one respect - they tend to have gaps where it suddenly jumps to another location.  That's about the only similarity however - in June of 1990, my camera handling was still pretty rough and my reason for skipping things was due to a lack of battery power, not a worry about the equipment breaking.  By 1991, I had bought several new batteries and I would go out with about six spares so I could basically (in a single day) run the camera as much as I wanted without running out of battery power.  (Nickel-cadmium batteries were not very good.  They began losing performance almost immediately, and were much heavier than modern lithium-ion batteries.)
   There is some interesting content in these - particularly some of the nighttime material of local stations on the Seibu-Ikebukuro Line.  The trouble is - the camera work is so wild, and the scenes so varied, that I decided to not even try to post these by detailed locations, but just per day instead.  So each "Wild Camera" video covers one day, June 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 11th, 1990:
