Getting off of a Keihin-Tohoku Line train at Tokyo Station, I begin the transfer walk over to the Chuo Line, the clip ending as I reach the base of the escalator that lead up to the elevated platform (the Chuo Line is higher up than the other platforms - a result of all the lines being moved over (towards the old station building) to make extra room for more Shinkansen tracks on the other side of Tokyo Station.

Entering Ichigaya Station just before 10:00 p.m. after spending time experiencing the hanami festivities in Kudankita and Chidorigafuchi. I rushed a bit, thinking a train might already be there, but it wasn't, so I might as well have walked at a more relaxed pace. That's the Tokyo lifestyle for you - always hoping to save a minute here or there.
