I don't mind not having a reserved seat, but a train trip certainly is much nicer if the seat is by the window and facing forward instead of facing the centerline of the train car with two groups of people set facing each other as though both were on a stage. That's not a complaint exactly - I realize that this seating arrangement is the most practical, given the number of people who use the trains during the peak rush hours.
