"Higashi-Ginza, Ginza Stroll, and Yurakucho"

Starting off near Higashi-Ginza after riding into Ginza on the Hibiya Line, and then walking into Ginza and then over to Yurakucho.

The above-ground station area for Higashi-Ginza Station, on the Hibiya (subway) Line.  Walking towards the (former) Ginza Kabuki Theater, which workers were just putting up barriers around to prepare for demolishing it.

Waiting to cross a large asphalt intersection built for the convenience of fire-breathing machinery.  I can remember an age when large streets and intersections were where people and businesses wanted to be -  now they just feel like toxic zones (full of air and noise pollution) to avoid.  Two-lane streets are not so bad, but four and six lane roads are horrible to be on or near if you're not driving.

To my car-owning friends: I know - you love your cars, and I loved mine when I owned them, but the world will be a vastly better place when humanity gets past using bloody internal combustion engines.

A stroll along Ginza's Showa-dori - which is no fun at all, due to the constant unpleasant noise of internal combustion noxious gas emitting machinery.  I can't believe how much I used to love cars... I hate them now - or, more specifically, I hate them in the city, where they're not necessary and they degrade the quality of life for everyone (via noise, pollution, and space consumed, etc.).

Standing on a corner, looking around while waiting for the light to change.

Walking would be a lot more pleasant throughout the city if non-commercial vehicles were banned.  When you get to a certain density of population, personal cars don't make much sense any more.
